Waste Disposal

In 2008/09 re3 sent 60.4% of all waste collected in Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham to be disposed off. The majority of this was sent to a Landfill site and from 2010 re3 will begin to send waste to an Energy from Waste Facility.

Rubbish collected from your homes is currently taken to one of our Transfer Stations (either at Smallmead or Longshot Lane Waste Management Parks), where it is loaded into large lorries and sent for disposal.

re3 aims to dispose of waste in the most sustainable way possible, but you can help us to reduce the amount of waste that is sent to Landfill or to Energy from Waste by reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible.
