Vehicles over 1.95m
Please check the height of your vehicle before visiting site. Residents using vehicles taller than 1.95m (including vans, light commercial vehicles and 4x4s) to bring household waste to site, must call re3 on 0800 9883023 to pre-book, providing at least one working days notice. Remember that if you have a roof rack or any other addition on your vehicle you may not fit under the height barrier.
Please call re3 during office hours (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm) to make your booking.
If you want to visit the site on a Saturday or a Monday you must call re3 by the Friday before, during office hours. Please book early to ensure you able to visit on the day you want.
What information will you need to provide when pre-booking?
When prebooking your vehicle above 1.95m/large trailer, you will need to provide a few pieces of information including:
You will also need to bring a form of idenification (council tax bill or major utilities bill) with you when you attend site, to ensure that you do not have to pay to dispose of your household waste.
There is a limit to the number of vehicles over 1.95m in height that can visit the sites on any day. This limit has been set to help manage the number of large vehicles accessing the site.
When you make your booking you will also be given a timeslot in which you can use the site.
Vehicles over 1.95m in height can only access the HWRCs:
Monday to Friday: 0800 - 10:00; 14:00 - 16:00
Saturday: 08:00 - 10:00
There will be no access for vehicles over 1.95m in height on Saturday's after 10am, on Sundays or any Bank Holiday.
Trailers
You can bring waste to the HWRC's in a small trailer, no bigger than 6ft (1.83m) long.
Large trailers over 6ft (1.83m) long must call re3 to book (as above) on 0800 9883023.
If you arrive on site without pre-booking, you will not be allowed to tip and will be turned away from site.
Please be aware of re3 staff's right to refuse tipping if waste is believed to be trade or from a business. Businesses can pay to dispose of their waste at the transfer stations at Longshot Lane and Smallmead.
